Rogue RA-090

Rogue RA-090

Let’s take a closer look at Rogue RA-090. They are constructed in South Korea by Sunbo. They are a brand identified with Musicians Friend, who had a center near the Rogue River in Oregon. Yes, you’ve guessed it. Musicians’ Friend themselves has now grown enormously and have warehouses and centers in various US cities. Rogue guitars are still their house brand and are still manufactured in South Korea. They also make electric and bass guitars not only acoustic guitars.

Rogue RA-090

Rogue RA-090 Body:

This is a Rogue RA-090. This is probably the plywood. Looks like spruce but when you look really close it’s probably plywood. And then that doesn’t even have a fingerboard plate on top. It’s just one piece of wood. The quality of the wood is good. It’s pretty solid, I wouldn’t say too solid but I would say solid enough to be played in a good way. The bridge, it looks fine. The only thing is that here on these holes there’s too much space may be between them. That’s the only thing I’m a little bit concerned about. But the bridge is linear. It’s at the same amount of space here as it has here and the court the curse looks good. The size is 25.4. The nice fretboard is rosewood

Sound:

The sound Is incredibly cool. So it’s very crisp and at the same time, there are no threads that sound like metal which is really a common thing among cheap guitars. And If you are expecting a top-of-the-stack sound, you are in the wrong place. But we have to say that it’s not bad at all.

Rogue RA-090 Neck:

As with the body so with the neck. Nothing top of the range just a solid build. The neck is made from Nato wood, which is a nice popular wood used on some instruments. The neck is good, C-shaped, and yes it’s an asset for beginners. The C-shape is known to be the most comfortable & easier to play for most people.

The neck is joined to the body at the 14th fret. No cutaway, so that is as far up the fingerboard as you can comfortably go. 20 frets are available here. The neck has an adjustable truss rod, which is a big plus and is not found on a lot of lower-priced acoustics. There is a Rosewood fingerboard, which is also what you would expect even on the most expensive guitars.

Rogue RA-090 Hardware:

However, this particular model has no electrics at all. The saddle and nut both are plastic as you might expect, and the bridge is made with maple wood but colored a dark color presumably to match the scratchplate. This particular guitar has nickel-plated tuners and because of that, this will make changing strings a bit difficult. But of course, it’s really easy & comfortable to use

Conclusion:

This Rogue acoustic guitar is a nice affordable & beautiful guitar that has been made and designed for beginners. It wasn’t made for the Pro or the concert hall. It was simply made to sound pleasant, and it did a great job by succeeding all. The Rogue RA-090 was created for a less effective and affordable guitar for the starters. It would play nice and perfectly. The guitar ROG RA-090 sounds very well also it looks nice and beautiful.
