Jennifer Siebel Newsom testifies emotionally to Harvey Weinstein rape
Recalling this memory, she said, “Terrible! Terrible!” . “I'm shaking. I'm like stone, I'm frozen. This is my worst nightmare. I'm just this blow-up doll!”
Siebel Newsom is the fourth woman to file a sexual harassment complaint against Weinstein, who is based in Los Angeles.
Her testimony was the most dramatic and emotional of the three-week trial.
She cried profusely throughout her 2 1/2 hours on the stand, when she was asked to identify the infamous Weinstein, 70, for the record.
She said: I don't know how it happened, she said through tears. I didn't see the clues, and I didn't know how to escape.
Siebel Newsom, known as (Jane Doe) in the lawsuit, and others accused of rape or sexual assault by Weinstein, are not being named in court.
Both the prosecution and the defense identified her as the governor's wife during the trial. And Siebel Newsom's attorney confirmed to The Associated Press and other news outlets that she was (Jane Doe).
And She denied Werksman's suggestion that new elements of the alleged assault that he did not describe in interviews with prosecutors or in grand jury testimony came up for the first time in his testimony Tuesday.
Siebel Newsom says she spends most of her time trying not to think about it. And it’s very painful, sir, she said.
